ONCE UPON A TIME...

Started by Alan Wyllie and Lindsay Wyllie in their home town of Barrhaven, A Gym Tale offers guests a fantastic program and play environment designed to help children from birth to eight  develop physically, cognitively, and socially. Their desire to nurture success in children at an early age and to make imagination paramount in the process is how it began... seeing the smiles on young faces every day make them look forward to a happily every after.

OUR PROGRAMS

Our play, music, and preschool programs were designed by Lindsay Wyllie, a graduate of the University of Guelph with a Ba.Sc. in Child and Youth Studies and in collaboration with professionals from fields of children's development, children's dance and movement, physical education, play therapy, and music studies. Lindsay is a qualified Early Childhood Educator with published research relating to children's developmental psychology as well as experience with preschool and special needs populations. A Gym Tale's structured and age-appropriate programs ensure that the confidence and self-esteem of our guests grows each week as they experience exciting and imaginative play, incorporating obstacle courses, cooperative games, music, creative movement, and sports skills.

OUR PLAY ENVIRONMENT

A Gym Tale boasts the most exciting, the safest, and the highest quality equipment in children's play programming. Surrounded by visually stunning fairytale murals from floor to ceiling and padded flooring that blankets the play space, this equipment includes soft foam climbers, ball pits, swings and trapezes, ropes, tunnels, gymnastic equipment, and trampolines.
